- Welcome to a website on Western Expansion. This site is put together by 8th grade students at Mountain Ridge Middle School. Students will be given a topic to research. They can work with a partner or they can work by themselves. If you work with a partner, be sure to share the responsibility. Once students have gathered sufficient information from at least 3 different resources, they will add their information to a Google Doc so that their peers can provide feedback. The purpose of the feedback is to help their peers perfect their information.
